Balloons has decided to put a bit more focus on 6v6 with our core dedicated players after primarily playing 8v8 for the past few months. As of last night we pulled ourselves off of the TWL Limited Ladder and are looking at joining the next season of CEVO to go along with the TGL 6v6 to see how far we can go.
We are progressing well towards the playoffs in our current 8v8 leagues, we are 4-0 in CAL and 4-1 in STA.

Things have been busy of late. We have started CAL 8v8 out fairly well or The Forfeit League as I like to call it where more matches seem to be forfeits than actually played. We have however been lucky in only getting 1 forfeit win so far. We did have a fantastic match on 2Fort of all maps against Digital Jedi on Sunday eventually pulling out a thrilling 4-2 win (2-1 in each half). GG's to DJedi, it was our best match on 2Fort to date.
STA Season 2 has started and is going fairly well. We are currently sitting 9th at 3-1. Although we are a game behind everyone else (for the most part) because we had an unfortunate forced bye week which set us back but we are still on track of meeting our goal of Gold Playoff qualification for season 2.
We are now #2 on TWL 7v7 open ladder after taking out GD on Mach4 and are preparing to defend it Thursday night vs Totally Retro.
Last but not least we started in STA 9v9 Highlander last week for some fun as none of us had played before. We won our first match fairly easily against . clan and this week we played Lost Continents. They beat us soundly on the scoreboard but in truth we thought it was a fairly close match overall and they didn't totally roll over us which still hurts but it could have been much worse. It was probably the longest well match we have ever played and we definitely look forward to a rematch in the next few weeks.

Semi Finals and Out!

Last night we played Sorry Ass Clan in the TGL 6v6 Semi Finals in what was for the most part a very good match.
We won the first half 2-1 on our central server.
They won the second half 3-1 on their western server.
4-3 Final for sac. We kept it close and did much better than predicted by the 'critics' who said we were not in the same league as sac and were going to get run over.
sac will now play xen in the TGL finals, if the map was Well I would say that xen would win this match easily as they destroyed us numerous times during the week in scrims. The map however is Dustbowl which is a whole different beast, good luck to both teams.

TGL Semi Finals here we come!

The title says it all. We defeated [B-T] in 2 rounds on Gravel Pit by about 4 minutes using stopwatch on each although it seemed a lot closer when we were playing it, demos from a few perspectives are available on the website. Some well timed ubers and a key spy backstab by Injate in the 2nd round on the opposing teams medic really paid off.
Up next is sac| Sorry Ass Clan on Well which is generally not our best map and against a good team to boot. Practice makes perfect they say so lets get on it!
